SEEK MUSEUM at The Bibb House tells the stories of 3 generations of enslavement that lasted until the death of Major Richard Bibb in 1839 when he freed his remaining slaves, followed by their struggles for equality in an area of legalized slavery until the conclusion of the Civil War and the passage of the 14th Amendment in 1868. Two separate but related museum sites are available for group or individual tours.
